War on the Young Continued

Should generally poor young people be subsidizing often wealthy old people? That’s what happens in our present crony capitalist system.

Here’s an interesting bit of news from Mary Katharine Ham of hotair.com, (12/11/12). Speaking of new regulations for Obamacare, she writes:

….Guess who’s likely to be hardest hit? Young people, take your medicine:

The newly announced rules limit insurers to charge their oldest customers no more than three times as much as younger ones. …Based on estimates by international management consulting firm Oliver Wyman, the rule will force insurers to hike rates for 18- to 24-year-olds by 45 percent even as rates for those 60 and older drop by 13 percent in most states.[2] That means a 22-year-old waitress paying $2,068 for her health insurance will have to fork over $3,000 when Obamacare takes effect. And these figures even underestimate the actual impact.

Well, to all you young people who voted for the loser, enjoy your "hope and change"..

You wanted him, you got him.  Wouldn't listen to us older people about him, would you?  We saw him for what he was BEFORE his first term.  Any idiot can research someone, it's called the "internet"....

So, have a good time with the next 4 years of the nightmare YOU put back into office.

Oh, yeah, don't whine to me about it either.  I didn't chose this for you.

Where in the Constitution does it say they have the power to do this? It is illegal for them to steal from us and give to others.

Lol. War against young people. How about the war against water. People are always destroying it, blowing it up. Let water live free. Neptune 2016.

It was mainly the young people who voted for him so it seems to me they will get what's coming to them.  I do feel sorry though for the minority of young people who didn't vote for him.  Now they know how those who are older felt for all those years voting against the takers but still having to pay the bills for them while being forced to pay into SS they now want to steal. Keep in mind the so called older wealthy still pay taxes even when they retire so they via their taxes still help fund programs for young people and they are means tested both on SS and Medicare. Just because they are older they aren't getting a free ride.

"Voters 50 and older went solidly for Mitt Romney in this year’s presidential election: 52 percent of voters between the age of 50 and 64 voted for Romney; 56 percent of voters 65 or older went for Romney.  The obvious problem for the GOP in the future is that this age cohort is dying off.  By 2016, about 11 percent of those currently 55 or older will be dead, and almost 19 percent of those currently 65 and older will have met their maker.

But pure demographics is not the larger problem for Republicans.  After all, voters traditionally grow more conservative, and hence more Republican leaning, as they age, and the 40-to-49-age cohort, most of whom can be expected to live for a long time yet, also voted for Romney by a slight 50-48 percent margin this year."

Great, I've to pay more for my grand parents health-care even though I'm already taxed to do so...

@johngreenwood1982 This is what is breaking the backs of working Americans.  I read a while back that for every working person in your home, there are 30 other people living off them.  My wife, daughter and myself are feeding 90 people in other words.  Entitlement is NOT in the Constitution.  We need to cease funding the Federal Government.  Start April 15th.  Just say NO.
