The word right now is that US banks are reasonably well capitalized. Remember that bailout thing? You paid for it. So no American implosions seem imminent. European banks are looking a lot sketchier. Below is an interesting graphic which charts bank stock performance from the start of 2008 and compares it to 2016. This data I believe is from before before the 3 day rally we’ve seen in stocks so it is slightly dated. But you get the point.
