Yesterday I got to meet Rand Paul (briefly and in passing) and I have to say I was impressed. The guy is funny and he can think on his feet.
I thanked him for what he did in the Senate last week. I believe the issues he raised and brought to the fore are of vital importance to the American people.
“I will speak until I can no longer speak,” Paul said. “I will speak as long as it takes, until the alarm is sounded from coast to coast that our Constitution is important, that your rights to trial by jury are precious, that no American should be killed by a drone on American soil without first being charged with a crime, without first being found to be guilty by a court.”
Our Attorney General says this if things were sketchy enough a drone strike on American soil against a US citizen could be warranted. That whole due process thing? And the military not operating within the country? C’mon. Those ideas are so 20th century. You do know we have the NDAA right?
This was obtained by NBC News. The NBC News chief was fired today. There is no indication that the 2 events are in any way related, but it must have been one busy day at NBC HQ.
This guy Holder is darn bold.
