Some might say that “myth” is a kind word.
Could this be any more Clintony?
No. It certainly is not.
Just an attempt at humor. It made me laugh. Thanks to the reader who sent it.
I dedicate this one to the Bernie folks who were the first ones to really highlight the crony relationships at the DNC. (The RNC has crony relationships too – just to be clear. But Clinton was an extraordinary case.)
It should be remembered that one of the main reasons Merkel has taken the stance she has on large immigration inflows is because Germans are not having children and as such the German welfare state will eventually implode with fewer workers. If however new workers can be imported, then maybe the welfare state can survive for a bit.
But if the German welfare state is stretched to the limit to accommodate the influx of new people does that actually help the unsustainable welfare state or does it hurry its demise?
This is interesting and something with which many of our readers I am sure are familiar.
The election’s over. Be cool everybody. Be cool.
A while ago we made the case that the Democratic Party could only really count on an almost exclusively urban archipelago centered in the Northeast and in California. Well, someone mapped the archipelago and it is very well done.
I live on “Charlottesville Mountain” incidentally.
Look, even many of the people who voted for Trump have some beefs with Trump. I hear from these folks regularly. But the reaction from some other folks, particularly those who appear to be receptive to the politically correct societal critique, those who thought our society was going to be defined by the sociology departments of this country, to Trump has been off the charts.
I was listening to NPR yesterday and the endless complaining about Trump was remarkable.
Let me say from the outset that I am a Dave Chappelle fan. I have been for a long time. The reason? He tells real truth often to people who refuse to hear the truth. This skit should be added to his Greatest Hits.
I know, I know. This is a big shocker.
Hey, the cronies control the machine and they aren’t afraid to use the machine.
As an aside I know someone who after getting out of prison (in Virginia) went through a lot of effort to regain his voting rights. But this person is unlikely to vote Governor McAuliffe’s way.
(From The Daily Caller)
Virginia Gov. Terry McAuliffe has granted voting rights to as many as 60,000 convicted felons just in time for them to register to vote,
One particularly remarkable thing about these speeches is that it took Wikileaks to get them out to the public. Clinton gave dozens of speeches after her failed 2008 run and yet no recording or partial recording of these speeches emerged to our knowledge. No one had their phone on? No one?
Regardless the details are out now and they reveal about what many people expected, someone who is very cozy with the banking industry and who seemed to take some pride in the fact that her (mostly) newly amassed wealth (largely from speeches for $200,00+) separated her from the petty middle class.
