That’s Government Motors for you. But this needs to be fought.
Youtube, owned by Google (arguably the most crony company on the planet), is a private company. It can do what it wants. However that doesn’t mean people shouldn’t pay attention to this sort of thing. We must and it needs to be highlighted.
Eric Schmidt, Google’s Chairman
Google has become one of the most crony companies on the planet. In some ways surpassing companies like Goldman Sachs and Monsanto.
It’s not just Obama. Eric Schmidt the Chairman of Google founded a company called GROUNDWORK whose sole purpose is the election of Hillary Clinton.
Oliver Stone is not my favorite guy in the world. He has said and done a number of things with which I strongly do not not agree. However he is a hell of a director and Wall Street and Platoon rank in my personal all time top 20 movies. And he is absolutely correct about the cozy relationship between some tech companies, particularly Google (which has visited the White House far more than any other company during Obama’s presidency) and the government.
Assange isn’t the only person reporting on this. We noted a few months ago that Erik Schmidt, the Chairman of Google actually founded a COMPANY whose sole goal is to get Hillary Clinton elected president. Below is the honest to goodness logo of this company, GROUNDWORK. It couldn’t be creepier.
It is of concern when the head of one of the most powerful media outlets on the globe is teaming up with the nominee of the Democratic Party (or any party) for the purpose of getting that person elected.
“I consider Osama bin Laden as one of the people that I admire. To me, he is in the category of Malcolm X, Che Guevara, Patrice Lumumba, Fidel Castro, all leaders that I admire.” – Yuri Kochiyama in The Objector
Google and Obama are tight. As we’ve documented below. The company is also a massive defense contractor now, so that’s good.
We have visited this theme periodically over the years. The rise of artificial intelligence and these sorts of robots is cause for caution and concern. (It is also cause for hope in many regards.)
