A politicized intelligence community is bad for the country. One that acts in the rogue manner we’ve seen in recent days is cause for serious concern.
I think a lot of people would like to know. Have the intel agencies become politicized?
Seems like it’s very possible.
It’s not the THE CIA is officially stating something here. There has been a leak from within the CIA. Some (how many really?) apparently within the CIA have signed onto the idea that Russia was trying to sway things for Trump. (And even if this was the case this is probably not something new. Teddy Kennedy even allegedly asked the Soviet Union to intervene in the 1984 election of behalf of the Democrats.
This is an article that needs to be read.
Somewhere along the way the “official” media sources got the official line. – Focus on an assertion by John Podesta Hillary Clinton’s campaign manager, who has his own ties to the Russians, that the Russians are behind exposing that the Democratic National Committee was working on behalf of Hillary Clinton in the primary process and against Bernie Sanders.
No one in the government to our knowledge has confirmed this assertion. But even still, where the leak came from is not the issue.
We have no horse in the presidential race. (Or any race.) There is crony capitalism all over. DNC, RNC, NBC, CBS, PBS, FOX, Washpo, The Times, Washington, New York, LA, – you get the point. But this leak from Wikileaks, no matter where it came from originally has exposed the inner workings, to some extent, of the American political beast and that is important and valuable for the American people.
This president and his administration have sought to chill dissent. Like the political correctness fanatics which now run our universities (a movement from which Obama it should be noted emerged) who chill speech at every turn in the name of “tolerance and diversity” this president uses similar newspeak when he calls for transparency and “freedom.”
