Who cares that we have no enemy that can project power beyond their own backyards (or ponds)? Let’s spend spend spend. This is small government Republicans for you.

Constitutionally speaking we are supposed to have a DEFENSE not a global domination machine. But military spending is good for the members of Congress because it’s a way for Republicans to dole out taxpayer money without getting hammered.
