To this day there are people who believe that the president is opposed to “corporate interests.” Most of the people who think this have not spent much time at this site it’s probably safe to say.
The truth is, so long as a corporation agrees to play and to make the administration look good, Obama is happy to become that corporation’s best friend.
That the government would do this is breathtaking if not surprising. Again we ask, how is this constitutional? Where did the order to do this come from?
When MSNBC is hammering the president things have got to be pretty darn bad. I think a lot of journalists who long thought that they were on the “good list” now recognize that even they, even the guilded messengers who delivered Obama the White House, can be tossed aside in the name of consolidating presidential power.
Sharyl Attkisson has doggedly pursued the “Fast and Furious” scandal and has refused to let go of the Benghazi story also, to the chagrin of many. CBS management even came out recently and said that her efforts were a little too tenacious.
Ms. Attkisson is not prepared to make any accusations yet pending discussions with her lawyer, but she definitely believes her files were compromised.
Mr. Biden I wish I could trust you, but I just don’t. That you would call on the help of the “legitimate” media—read, #oldmedia—explicitly, to push your agenda just stinks. It’s not like you have to ask anyway. But given that the White House appears to be losing the debate fairly solidly, I suppose it’s time to boost the troops.
