POLITICO: What the Press Still Doesn’t Get About Trump (And refuses to see)

The #oldmedia loathes Trump. They loathe that he stopped Hillary Clinton’s coronation and it is unlikely that they will ever give Trump a fair shake. The #oldmedia despise that Trump put the brakes on the American Cultural Revolution and as such they will do what they can to bring the man down. Obama and Hillary were the good guys. Trump is a big borish enemy of the “people” who was ironically put in office by “the people.” Just not the right people.

Trump Budget Proposes Killing All Funding for PBS, NPR and National Endowment for the Arts

Good. The government has no business in broadcasting or in art.

I say this as one who has logged many hours watching PBS and listening to NPR. I also love the arts. In another life I wrote and produced electronic music. I still paint. I very much enjoy (what some would consider) weird mid-century artwork.

But government has no business at all in these areas. None.

(And the thing is PBS and NPR would have more good will from small government people if they had not become just total instruments of statist propaganda.

Media Matters, de facto Ministry of Information for President Obama runs headline; ‘The Media Outlets Poised To Become Trump’s Personal Propaganda Machine’

They have a point. Many of these media outlets (which are mostly small in relative terms) will be inclined to like Trump. But Media Matters needs to take a chill pill. Every major old media outlet with the exception of FOX and The Wall Street Journal have long been propaganda outfits for the corporatist Left (There is a non-corporatist Left media, in our opinion a more honest Left, Democracy Now! would be an example.) and for Obama specifically.

A declining Washington Post freaks out, whines, everyone who doesn’t agree with its heavily biased coverage is a Russian plant

I have serious issues with Warren Buffett but when he sold The Washington Post to Jeff Bezos I sensed that it was probably a good move for Buffett. Originally Buffett bought The Post because it was the chosen news source within the power circles of Washington DC. In addition to this important factor Washpo had a strong readership based in a wealthy city. Good for ad revenue. There was deep value in the publication. But, to Buffett’s credit he probably sensed the winds shifting (even if he did think Hillary was going to win) and sold The Post when he could before the real serious decline in value became too obvious and too expensive even for someone who wanted to revamp the newspaper for delivery on Kindle devices.

The effort to characterize ACTUAL NEWS as “fake news” is a pro-#Oldmedia, pro-Establishment PROPAGANDA push (PART 1)

So let’s talk about “fake news.”

As you are likely aware, in the wake of the Trump victory there has been a desperate attempt to come to terms with why the Clinton machine lost despite having essentially all of the #oldmedia on its side. Let’s take a moment and review how biased toward Hillary Clinton (and her machine) the #oldmedia actually was.

Below only represents a tiny fraction of the stories we featured on the pro-Establishment and pro-Clinton propaganda push from the powers that be in the #oldmedia,

King of Fake News: The U.S. Federal Government

(From The Tenth Amendment Center)

Anyone with an ounce of sense and access to the Internet should be able to ferret out the truth and lies in these stories with some basic research. That these stories flourish is largely owing to the general gullibility, laziness and media illiteracy of the general public, which through its learned compliance rarely questions, challenges or confronts.

Then there’s the more devious kind of news stories circulated by one of the biggest propagators of fake news: the U.S.

NPR says no more live interviews with conservatives (So they can be edited to avoid any ‘controversial’ remarks)

I’m sorry but I thought that National Public Radio was paid for by taxpayers, of which many, if not the majority might be called “conservative.”

It should be noted that the co-founder of this website Hunter Lewis, co-founder of Cambridge Associates a global investment firm, was once interview by Steve Inskeep at NPR. In the 2007 interview Lewis warned that the world was headed for a Federal Reserve created Crash. Inskeep didn’t like Lewis’s take and so the interview was spiked.

The ACTUAL ‘Fake News’ list

You have probably seen the list of “fake news sites” created by Merrimack College assistant professor Melissa Zimdars that has been making the rounds. But it isn’t a list of “fake news” sites, it is a list of sites that challenge the official narratives put forth by outfits like The New York Times and PBS. At least this is true for many of the sites.

For instance sites like Zerohedge and LewRockwell.com were both on the list which is total nonsense.

Judge Napolitano: A Truly Free Press Will Always Be an Inconvenience To The Government

This is absolutely true, and thank God we still have a mostly free press in this country.

A free press must be fought for because the powers that be don’t like being held accountable. They will shut down the questioners if they are able. Watch out for (even more) serious assaults on free speech in the immediate future.

Obama’s army of public relations staffers costs U.S. taxpayers $500M per year

Half a billion dollars for US taxpayers to pay for Obama’s spin, his propaganda, his effort to control the “narrative.”

This is just flat out abuse of the taxpayer. Take our money to sell things like Obamacare and drone wars and “stimulus” and then charge us for these boneheaded ideas too.

This is part of the great Washington scam also. How many spin people does the administration need? Oh, this many…
