Hey, so I guess they actually WERE talking over Easter break.
I have serious issues with Ann, but she is prone to occasional flashes of valuable insight.
Right… Because the few congresspeople who seem to generally stand up for the Constitution are the treasonous ones.
Again Politico, The Freedom Caucus is not “far Right.” If anything theirs is the classically liberal position.
Not 60, as we’ve been told.
Obamacare is/was a deeply crony piece of legislation, written in large part by the insurance companies and pharma. The individual mandate is a travesty. Obamacare deserves/needs to be repealed. But the GOP leadership seems to think that once a program is in place it must always remain in place. Time for that kind of thinking to end.
There are people who care about principle on Capitol Hill and many (if not most) of them are in the Freedom Caucus.
We’ll see how dead it is. It deserves to die. The individual mandate needs to die. But will the entire program die, totally? Congress does not have a good track record when it comes to repealing large pieces of legislation.
It is impossible to repeal and preserve Obamacare at the same time.
2 of the “good guys.” Massie and Ron Paul.
